Since decades our leak detector type V17Ex is used for monitoring flat-bottom tanks as well. Due to the implementation of the national regulations based on the European guidelines, the General Design Permit for the leak detector type V17Ex expired in the year 2002. However, in already installed systems, because of the grandfathering, the use of this leak detector is still possible.

To meet the requirements of the ATEX guidelines, about 12 years ago the leak detector V17Ex was removed from the product line and replaced by the new ATEX directives approved leak detector of the type V80Ex H.

Due to more continuous adjustments to the standards and discontinuation of parts from our suppliers (e.g. heating, flame arrestors, switching amplifier), in the future we cannot guarantee the supply of spare parts and thus the operational capability of your installed V17Ex systems in case of repair.

Existing customer inquiries and the intensive cooperation with our suppliers enable us to offer you for the mentioned period this very interesting exchange of leak detection systems.
